From code to capability: How teams build, evaluate, and shipagents that do real work, not demos.

What cloud did to infrastructure, AI coworkers do to labor. Capacity you consume by the unit of work instead of hiring and owning it up front, and the new math of outcomes, ROI, and cost against headcount.

When every person shares their work with AI coworkers, what does the workplace feel like, and who designs it?

Attended my first Fusion 26 yesterday, and I'm very glad I made the time to be there. It was an exceptionally well-curated conference, with an impressive lineup of panelists and a thoughtful range of topics.
The conversations were substantive, thought-provoking, and offered perspectives that will stay with me well beyond the event. What stood out most was the quality of the dialogue—bringing together different experiences and points of view in a way that challenged conventional thinking and sparked meaningful reflection.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing Fusion 26 together. Glad I had the opportunity to attend this year, and I look forward to experiencing more of Fusion in the future.

AI is evolving from coder to coworker.
That was the premise behind yesterday's AI builders' panel, "The evolution of AI from coders to coworkers," hosted by Atomicwork in San Francisco. Our CEO, Nikola Mrkšić, joined leaders from Replit, Meta AI, Browserbase, and Kanu Gulati of Khosla Ventures to talk through what it looks like when AI agents work alongside your team, not just behind it.
PolyAI brought a live example to the conversation: Wren, our agent that analyzes every conversation our dialog agents have, proactively finds ways to make them better, tests each idea, and ships what works. It runs autonomously across live deployments, so every day your agent improves on its own.

What a day at Fusion'26 in SF. Great conversations, and some genuinely magical moments, literally, with a magic show running throughout the day.
The room was full of industry leaders working through the same challenge: how to solve real enterprise problems with AI without losing focus on what matters.
One thing I'm still wrestling with: there was no consensus on the future of work. Some leaders see AI driving a net increase in jobs. Others see significant job losses ahead. Same room, same data, opposite conclusions.
The debate on AI safety and security was just as split, speed vs. guardrails. Maybe that's the real takeaway. Nobody has this figured out yet, and the leaders who stay curious and keep adapting will shape where it lands.
Where do you stand: more jobs or fewer?

There are tech conferences, and then there are tech summits that are absolutely worth it.
Very fortunate to be part of Atomicwork Fusion26 today. A powerhouse group of operators, builders and pioneers sharing thoughts on the impact of AI and fully functional agents in the workforce- opportunities are immense and challenges are real. Deep discussions on the future that is getting built now: deep expertise becomes a commodity - think 80% job coverage, growing from 30M software engineers today to half a billion “builders” on AI tools, MCP becomes the new WWW(!), the rapidly changing economics of token costs, handling the “machine god”, and so much more.
A lot to take away, a lot to think about, and a lot still to build.
Also picked a card trick or two thanks to Robert Strong! My only regret: not getting a selfie with Atomicwork's inspiring leader, Vijay Rayapati. Need to fix that soon 😎 thank you Atomicwork team for an amazing event.

After a day at FUSION '26 and conversations about AI coworkers, agentic workflows, and the future of IT, I kept coming back to the basics.
Clear ownership. Trusted data. Strong identity and access controls. Workflows that reflect how people actually work. Governance that is built into the operating model.
It was great to see peers and colleagues navigating these questions in real time. The organizations making progress are not skipping the fundamentals. They are using them to give AI systems more room to act, carefully and responsibly.
Big shout out to Vijay Rayapati and his Marketing team for putting on a fine event!

The org chart is changing. Meet the leaders who are redrawing it.
Spend the day with IT leaders who are already running teams of people and AI. Join a curated group navigating the shift and building the new workforce operating model.
Get actionable frameworks from teams further down the path: how they staff, govern, and measure a blended workforce, and where it broke before it finally clicked.
By proceeding, you accept that your data will be processed in accordance with Atomicwork’s Privacy Policy.
